about executive chef mike junio

At 17, Mike took a job dish washing for a creative young chef with a small scratch kitchen. He instantly saw the appeal of making fresh dressings and sauces and worked hard to move into food production. Over the next 20 years Chef Mike perfected his culinary skills working at fine dining establishments in the California Bay Area. In that time Mike fine-tuned his food philosophy – high quality ingredients in a scratch kitchen. Through his years in the business he found an understanding of food and believes dishes should be prepared daily from scratch. Hand made pasta, dressing and sauce crafted from the base aioli, and all meat butchered in house: Mike is stern about @nerdvana having a complete scratch kitchen. By partnering with Kristy Pitchford on the @nerdvana team, Chef Mike now has a larger medium to share his art and passion.
